Last updated: 24 March 2026

1. About this platform

Check Algarve ("the Platform") is a property data aggregation service that presents publicly available information from Portuguese and EU government sources in an accessible, English-language format. The Platform is operated by Check Algarve.

2. No professional advice

The Platform does not provide legal, financial, tax, surveying or investment advice. Data displayed is sourced from official public registries and may be incomplete, delayed or contain errors. You must not rely on the Platform as a substitute for professional due diligence. Always instruct qualified local professionals before making property purchase decisions.

3. Data accuracy

We take reasonable steps to keep data current (see our data accuracy page). However, government source data may change without notice. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

4. Property reports

Property reports are one-off digital products delivered as PDF downloads. By purchasing a report, you acknowledge that the report is generated from publicly available data at the time of purchase and may not reflect subsequent changes.

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (as transposed into applicable national law), you consent to waive your right of cancellation upon delivery of the digital report. Refunds are available only where a report fails to generate or contains a material technical error.

Reports are licensed for personal use only. You may not redistribute, resell or publish report contents without written permission.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of or reliance on the Platform.

6. Intellectual property

The Platform's design, code and editorial content are protected by copyright. Government data displayed is sourced from public registries and remains subject to its original licensing terms.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
